The site, Teacher Preschool provides a great teacher resource by using discovery bottles, a sensory tool for the classroom. The bottles contain objects that relate to the children’s book that she is reading. The teacher recommended that the children pass the bottle around as she reads the story.
I’ve looked for the bottles, but I have not found them. I plan to keep looking. I believe that all sensory activities that we include with our children’s books enhance the experience for children. Please send me your great ideas and I will include them in my blog.
I have not purchased any small objects for my book, Barkley’s Great Escape. I did find a set of small rubber dogs. I would like to add a small life jacket, too. If you have some ideas, let me know.
I have some rubber horses and cowboy hats that will go in my discovery bottle for Sunbeam.
The developer has examples on her site. You can find the details on the site.
